Sapa will be international standard tourism area in 2030
People's
Committee of Lao Cai province recently announced the Urban Planning for Sapa
tourism area to be the popular resorts at international standard in 2030, which
set the target of receiving 3 to 4 million passengers a year and the average
speed of growth as 7.2%/year.
This is
also Lao Cai province's cultural bridges among the peoples of the northern
mountains, the trade connections of the province and the Vietnam-China border.
Therefore the plan are as follow: Sapa urban and adjacent areas will be
partitioned into five main tourism regions.
1/ The
tourism region develop on the basis of the typical tourism space. 2/ Urban
tourism space. 3/ Heritage tourism space associated with agro-ecological
landscape. 4/ Tourism space for exploration the primitive ecology landscape. 5/
Tourism space for exploration of the peoples cultures.
The
tourism network will develop based on existing system adding new routes such as
routes linking the mountains, routes linking the agricultural spaces.
The plan
is the result of the cooperation between Lao Cai province and experts from
Aquitaine region - The Republic of France with the consent of the Vietnamese
Government and the support of the Ministries to promote Sapa to be the famous
resorts with international standards.
